Here’s some good news (and yes, we’ll be straightforward about it): We have been qualified to join the Indie Prize showcase at Casual Connect Asia!
The mightiest word game for mobile, Mighty Alpha Droid (which has earlier been featured in Google Play’s Early Access section), has been accepted for Casual Connect Asia under Indie Prize, a scholarship program that gives assistance to self-supporting developers in the continent. Popsicle Games will be showing off Mighty Alpha Droid in CCA’s Indie Prize alongside many other talented developers in the region.
Even before joining Casual Connect Asia, the Popsicle Games team already has plans to improve MAD based on users’ feedback. Expect major game play changes coming along by the end of the month for Mighty Alpha Droid, along with some exciting new features to improve players’ experience with the game.
Casual Connect is the educational component of Casual Games Association (CGA) which is an international group that helps developers, publishers, and distributors in the game field. Not only is Casual Connect an occasion in Asia but it also connects devs in other parts of the world, such as in USA, Ukraine, Europe, and even Tel Aviv.
Casual Connect Asia is still celebrated annually since its launch in the year 2012. For its fifth year, Casual Connect Asia will be happening from May 16-18, 2017. Independent game developers and industry experts from all over Asia will be gathered at the Hard Rock Hotel Sentosa Resorts World, 8 Sentosa Gateway, Singapore to learn and share about the struggles and current trends of the indie game developer life. Anyone is welcome to attend, especially those interested in game development as there will be talks and seminars that would revolve around the topic.
